Logical partition is the division of a PABX into multiple sets of resources so that each set of resources can be operated independently. It restricts intercommunication between Public Network Trunks and Private Network Trunks.

With Logical partitioning PABX can get configured to prevent restricted calls that mix VoIP and PSTN resources when calls occur between different geolocations.
